CouchTycoon launches new product 'Venture Poster'
Submitted by BlueHorseshoe on Sun, 03/29/2009 - 00:10.
We are proud to be able to announce the new CouchTycoon.net product called 'Venture Poster'.
During the last months we have been working really hard to set up a product which we hope you will love. As you probably know the CouchTycoon.net startup started with the idea of public startup financing. And we were testing some different approaches during our private beta stage with hundreds of nice and insightfully users. Thank you so much btw!!
Finally we came to several important conclusions. One of them is, that it is almost impossible to start an innovative idea from outside Silicon Valley. And so we decided to go Silicon Valley - for now (follow the CouchTycoon Roadshow on our blog). Seriously, there were a lot more conclusions we figured out concerning the 'crowdfunding' product. Finally the result of all our conclusions is the Venture Poster. A really awesome product that reminds of vintage company stocks our grandfather owned. It is a handmade, signed and numbered silkscreen poster - designed by gig poster artists you probably know from flatstock festivals. Venture Posters will be issued by CouchTycoon.net in limited editions of 200 at regular intervals.

Startup News: Tesla Motors Gets 40 Million Dollars
Submitted by BlueHorseshoe on Tue, 11/04/2008 - 10:59.
The California based automotive start-up Tesla Motors got 40 million Dollars. But not from venture capitalists this time. Tesla secured the 40 million $ in convertible debt, after their last try to raise 100 million $ last month failed.
I personally hope that this is not the beginning of the end of an inspiring start-up, because I was really impressed when I visited the company at Menlo Park this summer. And of course I also want to see the Tesla roadster on german streets too;)
