Startup News: DODAQ.COM Offers Diamond Trading

The Antwerp based Startup "DODAQ" enables you to trade polished diamonds. This is a really nice idea and the first thought I had was "let´s start a CouchTycoon diamond venture". I´d like to buy and trade diamonds jointly. I´ve no clue so far, how much a diamond could cost. But I´m gonna figure it out and will decide about the diamond venture after that.

"DODAQ offers both diamond industry members as well as individuals with no previous diamond connection a clearly more efficient means to trade polished diamonds. By offering two-way auctions we are eliminating the mystery of diamond pricing and allowing the market to decide the fair value of a stone. Simple market economics means participants can bid the price for a individual category at their specified price. If the bid is unattractive to sellers in that particular category then the order is unlikely to be filled and will remain on the order book until cancelled. Similarly if a seller requires a price too high for what the bidders are prepared to pay then the diamond is unlikely to be sold."
